Open Water Diver Ready to join the growing ranks of recreational divers? It all begins with the PADI Open Water Diver course.This course will give you the foundational knowledge and skills to dive anywhere in the world, independent of supervision. It is a performance-based based program meaning you'll be spending plenty of time in the water practicing skills and demonstrating you dive capability. The course is divided into three sections: 1) Theory 2) Confined Water sessions 3) Open Water sessions To complete the theory portion of your course you will be given the PADI Open Water Manual for independent study, watch the PADI Open Water video to enhance your learning and complete a series of Knowledge Reviews followed by a final exam. During Confined Water sessions you will practice and apply the skills you learn from your reading material and Instructor. In the Open Water portion you will demonstrate to your Instructor that you can capably perform basic dive skills in an open water environment... as well as experience the thrill of discovery in an incredible new world.
